A Legacy area hotel along Preston road has officially reopened as The Clara Hotel.
The gist
The Clara Hotel is part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, which are independent boutique hotels with cultural connections to their locations. The hotel has 176 guestrooms and suites, a restaurant and cocktail bar with an evening lounge, meeting and event spaces, a heated outdoor pool and courtyard according to a news release.
“We wanted to create a place that locals would visit whether they were staying overnight or not,” Mehul Patel, a managing partner at the investment company NewcrestImage.
The hotel’s design is meant to have a residential and welcoming feeling for guests visiting Plano, per the release. The hotel is located in the same spot as the former NYLON Hotel, which was acquired by NewcrestImage in 2025 per previous reporting.
What they offer
The restaurant at The Clara Hotel, Field & Vine, offers a blend of French technique with Haitian-inspired influences and Texas ingredients, per the release. Some of its menu items include:
- Clara Ceviche with shrimp from the gulf
- Harissa Honey Wings with Texas honey
- French-style braised short rib
Its bar, Archer, has signature cocktails like Clara After Dark, which comes with bourbon, Amaro Nonino, honey, lemon and black tea.
