Artists of all ages and skill levels are being asked to enter a city-hosted art competition to celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month.
The details
- Three age categories: 5-12, 13-18 and 19 and older
- Mediums: pencil, chalk, paint, digital, recycled items, textiles and more
- Theme: “Where Community Grows” showcasing what Plano’s parks and recreation means to them
To submit art for the competition, follow these steps:
- Provide the artist’s name, age category, contact information and a short description of the piece.
- Email a high-resolution photo of the work to [email protected] with the subject line “Art Contest Submission” before the deadline at 5 p.m. July 30.
- Bring in the completed work to any Plano recreation center or Plano Parks and Recreation’s main office, which is located at 5901 Los Rios Blvd.
