Haunted Castle Cafe serves themed food, drinks in Plano

Haunted Castle Cafe is holding a soft opening through Aug. 15 and will hold a grand opening Aug. 16 in Plano.

Business owners, and family members, Jay Gungor and Gokhan Oktem are serving themed food and drink items at Haunted Castle Cafe.

“We want to give customers an unforgettable experience and create memories for families and friends,” Gungor said.

The menu features themed cocktails including Swamp Thing ($13) and Ghost Hunter ($14). The food menu includes crab cake balls ($16), peached glazed pork flat iron ($29) and arugula fig salad ($18). A Zombie Burger ($14) is listed on the kids’ menu.

At 10,000 square feet, Gungor said this is the largest haunted themed restaurant in the world.

The establishment has two distinct seating areas. The side geared for adults is gothic-themed. The other room is designed for families to enjoy and features friendly ghost murals. In addition to the murals, there are light shows and themed music.

During the soft opening, the establishment is open 4-10 p.m. On Fri., Aug. 16 hours will be 11 a.m.-midnight.
