Snyder re-elected in May 7 Hutto mayoral race, unofficial data shows

Hutto voters re-elected Mayor Mike Snyder to serve a second term in the May 7 election, according to unofficial election results.

He received 1,124 of 1,767 total ballots cast, representing 63.61% of the vote and defeat for opponent Mandi Villarreal Salvo.

Snyder was first elected mayor in 2021 in a special election following the resignation of Doug Gaul. Before serving as mayor, Snyder spent two years on City Council in Place 3. Snyder is a real estate manager for QuikTrip Corp.

Snyder's campaign priorities included addressing cost-of-living and infrastructure issues, such as property taxes and water rates, as well as transportation projects.
