Pflugerville residents are invited to help plant over 300 trees in local neighborhoods later this year.
The overview
The city of Pflugerville will plant 335 native trees in an effort to increase total tree canopy in three neighborhoods as well as to mitigate surface and air temperature.
The first planting events will be held this fall, with the goal of planting 20-50 trees each session. Over the course of the program, the city will plant trees in the Windermere, Watson Park and Hillside Springs neighborhoods. Residents can register to volunteer here. The first planting days will be held Nov. 2 and Dec. 7.
