Looking for some end-of-summer activities in and around Pflugerville and Hutto? Check out races, sporting events and conventions happening Aug. 14-Sept. 26.
This list is not comprehensive, and all events are subject to change.
August Star Party
The free stargazing event at Hutto Lake Park is presented by Stars & Science Austin. Attendees are invited to bring their own telescope, if they have one.
Vintage Market Days
The upscale vintage-inspired market features original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home decor, outdoor furnishings, seasonal plantings and more.
Escape Room Game
In this escape room-style mystery hosted by the Hutto Public Library, teams of 4-6 participants will follow clues, solve puzzles and decide what information can be trusted before time runs out. The event is recommended for teens and adults. Attendees ages 10 and up are welcome with a parent or guardian.
Summer Meltdown
The race takes place at Lake Pflugerville Park, and includes options of a one-mile run for ages 1-12, a 5K, a quarter marathon and a half marathon.
Pickleball lessons
Michael Dolan, a contract instructor with Hutto Parks and Recreation, will teach free pickleball lessons open to all skill levels.
Watermelon Dash
Located at the Hutto Memorial Stadium, the 2nd annual event has a 5K and 10K option, as well as a kids and family 1K. Every registration includes a timed race bib, participant shirt, finisher medal, and a ticket to the post-race party.
Craft and Cars
Hosted by The Growler Bar & Kitchen, event attendees can look forward to seeing classic cars, new exotic ones and everything in between.
Twilight Day
The Story Emporium & Bookshop invites guests to step out of the sunlight and into a world of mystery, romance and the supernatural. Inspired by 'The Twilight Saga,' activities include blood-red sips and themed treats, trivia and a quote wall. All ages are welcome, and costumes are encouraged.
6th annual Holes 4 Hunger golf tournament
Held at the Star Ranch Golf Course, the Hutto Resource Center's golf tournament includes a day of golf, contests, prizes, raffles, awards and lunch. Funds support the nonprofit's work to provide food pantry services, financial aid and other resources to the community.
10th annual Pflugerville Library Con
The convention will feature a day of panels, crafts, cosplaying and games. Attendees can meet comic authors and artists, cosplayers, voice actors, and more. All ages are welcome.
