Pflugerville ISD names new facilities and construction manager

The Pflugerville ISD board of trustees named a new executive director of facilities and construction.

The appointment of Brandon Cardwell came via unanimous approval at the board's July 15 meeting.

“We welcome Brandon to Pflugerville ISD and look forward to the work he will do,” PfISD Superintendent Doug Killian said in a news release. “We’re excited about the skills he brings to the position.”

District information states Cardwell served as maintenance and operations director for Eanes ISD in Austin during the 2016-17 school year.

He previously served in related roles for Round Rock ISD, Motorola and other companies, the release states, adding at his new role Cardwell will provide oversight on construction projects for the district; provide guidance on custodial, maintenance and energy management services; and recruit and train department staff.
