Pflugerville ISD moves forward with 2022 bond items
Preliminary work is set to begin on some of the $366 million in bond propositions Pflugerville ISD voters approved in November.
Victor Valdez, chief technology and operations officer for PfISD, said work will begin in early 2023 on fiber optic cable replacements, new heating and air conditioning systems, and districtwide computer replacements. Those projects are expected to deliver by the end of 2023.
Hutto ISD to begin major projects
Two large projects expanding Hutto ISD’s student capacity are planned to begin this year.
The first project will expand Hutto High School. Preliminary work began in late 2022 with completion expected by summer 2024.
A second project involves the construction of a 1,200-student-capacity middle school near Kerley Elementary School. Named Gus Almquist Middle School, the school has a targeted completion date of May 2024.
