Hutto ISD voters approved $522 million in bonds in November 2023, spread across three propositions. Here's an update on how construction on projects is progressing. This list is not comprehensive.
Creekside High School
Project: This project will convert the district’s Ninth Grade Center into its second comprehensive high school.
Update: The district is working with the Texas Department of Transportation and the city on a traffic signal at Main Hippo Drive and FM 1660. Additionally, concrete floors in the new academic wing are complete, with walls underway. Athletics facilities are also underway.

Timeline: April 2025-July 2027
Cost: $180 million
Elementary School No. 9
Project: This project will construct Hutto ISD’s ninth elementary school to serve areas in the district’s northeast.
Update: Design is underway for the new campus.
Location: in the Flora development
Timeline: January 2027-July 2028
Cost: $70 million
Districtwide Academic Center
Project: This project will renovate the former high school campus on College Street currently housing district operations to include permanent space for the district’s disciplinary alternative education program, River Horse Academy and the special education 18-plus program.
Update: This facility renovation is under design.
Location: 200 College St.
Timeline: May 2027-August 2028
Cost: $40 million
Farley and Hutto middle school additions
Project: This project will expand two existing middle school campuses. Specifics about the size of the expansion have not yet been shared by the district.
Update: The expansions will go out to bid in the spring.
Location: 303 CR 137; 1005 Exchange Blvd.
Timeline: May 2027-July 2028
Cost: $14 million
Districtwide technology infrastructure
Project: This project includes upgrades to district technology to enhance safety and security systems, data storage, and internet connectivity.
Update: The district is continuing to design and implement the upgrades.
Location: facilities throughout Hutto ISD
Timeline: through the 2026-27 school year
Cost: $10.5 million
Hutto High School
Project: This project modernizes the existing campus and adds new career and technology facilities and athletic facilities.
Update: The project’s completion timeline was bumped up to November over the summer, as the project is ahead of schedule.
