Hutto ISD hires Brittany Swanson as associate superintendent for instruction and innovation

Hutto ISD hired Brittany Swanson on Oct. 26 to lead the district's pursuit of academics as its new associate superintendent for instruction and innovation.

In a nutshell

HISD trustees voted to approve the hiring of Swanson on Oct. 26. Before joining HISD, Swanson was most recently the chief of staff for operations at the Texas Education Agency.

Swanson said she began her career as a teacher and instructional coach in the Dallas area before spending time in Australia supporting education policy at the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership.
