Cheesy Bite is serving up handcrafted pizzas and other comfort food favorites in Pflugerville with a menu that goes beyond traditional pies.
The neighborhood pizzeria opened in May 2023 and blends flavors of Italy and the Middle East with pizzas made with slow-risen dough, signature sauce, mozzarella, fresh vegetables and premium meats.
On the menu
Owner Mustak Prasla said the restaurant’s specialty is fusion pizzas, and its expansive menu features options such as chicken tikka, tandoori, chicken malai boti and chicken bihari. Beef pizzas include beef bihari, spicy kheema, Philly cheesesteak and barbecue meat lovers.
“We have 23 different kinds of pizza, and a lot of variety,” Prasla said. “Here in Texas, a lot of people don’t sell these flavors of pizza. The tandoori is really popular, and we make all of our sauces from scratch.”
Other classics include pepperoni, margherita and Hawaiian pizzas.
What’s special about it?
The dough at Cheesy Bite is made from scratch to ensure a soft yet crunchy texture, Prasla said.
“People love our dough. That's the main thing,” Prasla said. “The people like the crunchiness. It's a little soft and crunchy; it has both textures. With other places, after a certain time the dough is like rubber, but our pizza is never like that.”
Cheesy Bite’s menu extends beyond pizza. Customers can order wings, loaded fries and nachos, salads, burgers, shawarma, kebab, and paratha rolls. Rice plates are another option with choices such as chicken, tikka chicken, tandoori chicken, gyro lamb, beef seekh kebab, falafel and combination plates.
The restaurant's atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, with dine-in, carryout and delivery available. Cheesy Bite is open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
