Round Rock City Council approved an out-of-city water service agreement for a property in its extraterritorial jurisdiction at its meeting April 10. The site, planned for a new church, is within Round Rock's Certificate of Convenience and Necessity, the geographical area in which the city can provide utility services.
The details
Round Rock provides water to the nearby Williamson County Park, and the property owner will extend the water line across the road for its use. The project will also require a 1.5-inch meter, equal to five living unit equivalents, a representation of the typical water demand produced by a residence or development.
The owner will pay $24,000 in water impact fees based on this LUE.
