Pflugerville officials are considering a slew of changes to the 400-acre Lakeside Meadows mixed-use development located south of Lake Pflugerville.
Among the revisions is rezoning approximately 61 acres of the development’s corporate campus section to campus industrial, the same designation as the industrial buildings currently underway.
Developer James Kerby said the kind of office buildings allowed by corporate campus zoning are in much lower demand now than when the original Lakeside Meadows PUD was approved in early 2020.
“The conversations that we had when we were thinking about that portion of the project are different conversations than what we have today,” Kerby said. “People work different—they work remote.”
