Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 3, also known as Hutto Fire Rescue, announced the location of a future fire station on the east side of Hutto.
More details
The property is located along CR 132 near the intersection of CR 134, close to the Skybox data center and the future Hutto megasite, the organization announced in an Aug. 22 news release.
Much of the area surrounding the land for Fire Station No. 6 is undeveloped, and construction will require additional planning and development as the district is waiting for utilities and other necessary infrastructure, the release states.
The timeline for construction will be based on the pace of development in the area.
The background
Hutto Fire Rescue began planning for a station in this area in 2019, according to the release. The organization said long-term planning ensures emergency services continue to keep pace with the growth of the community.
ESD 3 currently serves more than 73,000 people across its 63-square-mile jurisdiction, and that population is expected to reach nearly 93,000 by 2030, according to the release.
Hutto Fire Rescue currently operates four fire stations. In August 2025, it announced the location of Fire Station No. 5 near Hutto ISD’s upcoming second high school campus.
