1. Hutto, Williamson County poised for $674M Blue Origin facility
Williamson County commissioners unanimously approved an economic development agreement Aug. 20 for Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos’ space technology company, to possibly construct a facility on Innovation Boulevard in Hutto.
The deal would facilitate Blue Origin’s construction of about 1 million square feet of aerospace and defense-related industrial research space at Hutto Crossing, according to county documents.
The facility represents a $674 million investment and could create up to 2,000 jobs over 10 years, officials said. Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles said it would make Blue Origin Hutto’s largest employer.

2. New dessert shop coming to Pflugerville
Chocolate Bash, a Southern California-based dessert shop, is coming to Pflugerville’s Stone Hill Town Center. The shop offers waffles, crepes, pastries, shakes, coffee, hot chocolate and other desserts. The menu features items such as a Dubai chocolate strawberry cone, a brownie ice cream cup and cream puffs.

3. H-E-B plans store upgrades in Pflugerville
H-E-B plans to upgrade a Pflugerville grocery store as part of its Fresh Initiative, which will renovate stores across Central Texas. The upgrades to the location on Pflugerville Parkway will begin on Nov. 30, and construction is expected to wrap up on Dec. 21.
