Pflugerville City Council approved an ordinance upon second reading to rezone about 75 acres of agriculture land to be used for residential, general business and open park space. The site is located on the southeast corner of Cameron Road and Steger Lane, bordering the Meadowlark Preserve neighborhood and a Pflugerville ISD property.
The breakdown
Following the second approval of the request, the rezoning is now in effect and includes:
- 50 acres for single-family residential space
- 9 acres for single-family mixed use intended to be townhomes
- 3.5 acres for general business
- 12 acres for park or open space
City Council approved the first reading of the rezoning request June 24, when officials discussed their hopes for the property.
