A Pflugerville apartment community, Jovie, is rebranding as Jolie and expanding from a 55-plus community to welcome residents of all ages.

The property initially operated as a 55-plus community but will now function as a conventional apartment community open to a broader demographic. Property management representative Marisa Cunningham said the 55-plus model “wasn’t as successful as anticipated,” prompting the shift.
However, management emphasized that older residents remain an important part of the community.
“We don’t want to shy away from that demographic by any means,” Cunningham said. “We’re really just opening up a broader demographic, but we do want to continue to connect with the community the same way that we do with the 55-plus community.”
While the resident age requirement is changing, the features of the property will remain. Cunningham said the community’s amenity offerings—typically more robust in 55-plus properties—will continue under the new model.
The apartment complex also plans to maintain its active resident programming. Leasing is already open to all residents of all ages.
