The Typhoon Texas water park in Pflugerville is making a big splash with its first summer event May 29-31 for its opening over Memorial Day weekend.
Visitors can expect live music, in-park entertainment and family-friendly events, according to a news release. Park General Manager Cade Vereen said the water park will have a beach theme corresponding to the event.
“We’re more than just water slides and pools, your traditional water park,” Vereen said. “We really want that to come across during our Beach Bash event as well as future summer events.”
Typhoon Texas has a little over 400 active employees and is looking to fill more roles. The park aims to have 525 employees going into its daily operating season.
