Typhoon Texas celebrates opening over Memorial Day weekend in Pflugerville

“We’ve really missed being able to be personable and engage with guests in the last year because of COVID-19 adjustments,” Vereen said. “We’re excited to get back to offering the best customer service as we operate a little more back to normal.”

The park is operating at a limited capacity to keep social distancing. However, the number of tables and seating areas has been increased to keep up with increased demand and the safety of the guests.

During the off season, Typhoon Texas increased the total lockers to 500 and added four more cabanas available to rent for relaxation, Vereen said. The water park also added an LED screen to greet guests with a display of what to expect during their visit. The park’s sanitation, pool equipment and pedestrian bridges have also been changed and upgraded.
