Filing to begin for Friendswood ISD board of trustees elections

Filing for the Nov. 5 board of trustees elections for Friendswood ISD will begin July 20 and continue through Aug. 19, officials said.

What you need to know

According to district documents, the following four-year seats are up for election Nov. 5:

• Position 1
• Position 2
• Position 3
• Position 4

These positions are held by Laura Seifert, Niki Rhodes, Rebecca Hillenburg and Tony Hopkins, respectively, according to the district’s website.

Applications could be filed through email at [email protected] starting July 20, or in person at 302 Laurel Drive, Friendswood beginning July 22, since July 20 falls on a weekend when the office is closed, according to district documents.

What else?

The last day to register to vote is Oct. 7. Early voting will be from Oct. 21-Nov. 1, according to district documents.
