1. Texas Mosaic Workshop
Guests can design an 8-inch wooden Texas cut-out with a variety of red, white and blue decorative tiles to create a custom mosaic artwork.
2. Houston Symphony: Star Spangled Salute
The Houston Symphony’s annual Independence Day celebration features performances of patriotic pieces such as “1812 Overture,” “The Stars and Stripes Forever” and “America the Beautiful,” with a fireworks finale.
3. Final Kickoff Soccer Party
Guests can enjoy game-day face painting at The Children’s Museum, inspired by teams and flags from around the world, take part in soccer-inspired games and music, and score discounted admission by wearing a soccer jersey or showing a soccer match ticket.
4. Red, White and Zoo
The Houston Zoo is honoring America’s 250th anniversary through native wildlife, including bald eagles, alligators, cougars and black bears, alongside conservation-focused exhibits and activities.
5. 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'
"The Hunchback of Notre Dame" features a 21-piece live orchestra composed of Houston’s top professional musicians.
6. Soccer Summer: Kicks and Coffee at Discovery Green
Guests can learn and practice soccer skills at Jones Lawn through casual training led by Futbolito en el Centro, while enjoying beverages and treats from Coffee Fellows’ mobile coffee truck.
7. Beats on the Bayou
Attendees can bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy live alternative rock music from Brent Michael Woods, along with complimentary sparklers.
