A North Austin-based CEO was named among the top in the country in 2018 by employer review website, Glassdoor.com. Ally Davidson, co-founder and CEO of Camp Gladiator—a bootcamp-style fitness program that runs group workouts in public parks as well as the company’s gym, CG Arena—was ranked 30 out of 50 of the nation’s top CEOs for small and medium sized businesses. Davidson and her husband started Camp Gladiator in 2008 after Davidson won the top prize on NBC's obstacle course television show, American Gladiators. CG Arena, located at 9185 Research Blvd., Austin, also houses the company's headquarters, with hundreds of certified trainers employed throughout the U.S. Davidson spoke with Community Impact Newspaper to discuss what the award means to Camp Gladiator and what Austinites can expect from the fitness program in the future.
