Round Rock ISD trustee Brian Sellers announced his resignation from the district board Oct. 11.
Sellers has served on the board since 2008 and serves as the board's secretary. Sellers was involved in the district's decision process to select Steve Flores as its new superintendent after Jess Chvez announced his retirement Jan. 30.
"The [trustee] role is a time-consuming one," Sellers said. "I've decided to focus more time on my kids and my wife. I feel like I am leaving the school board in a good spot and can take the time I need to be with my family."
