Beginning in January, Concordia University Texas will offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and launch a program for a Master of Education degree in sports administration.
The Bachelor of Arts degree will be offered to students in a classroom setting on the main campus, located at 11400 Concordia University Drive. The Master of Education in sports administration program will be available as an online course and in a classroom setting at Austin and Anderson high schools.
"Introducing the psychology degree and the sports administration program to our growing student population demonstrates that Concordia professors and staff are listening to our students and their educational wants and needs," Provost Alan Runge said.
The psychology program is designed to be completed in four years, and a writing portfolio is required to graduate. The program will teach students about theoretical perspectives, scientific methods and procedures, scientific writing in psychology and more.
