The Bond Program Advisory Committee for Austin Community College delivered a robust list of recommended priority projects for the potential Nov. 5 bond election, including the building of a Leander campus, improvements for campuses districtwide and renovations for ACC's Highland campus June 17.
The committee's recommendation list to the board of trustees focuses on 11 key items and are ranked in order of importance. The committee recommended $1.53 million in renovations for ACC's Highland as its No. 1 priority. Other recommendations as part of the 11 key items include the expansion of the Elgin, Hays and Round Rock campuses.
In addition to those expansions, one of the co-chairs of the committee, Tom Glenn, said more land must be acquired for the South Austin campus to prepare for its future.
"South Austin campus has no room to grow," he said.
