Tumble 22 is headed for Northwest Austin this fall, with a new location launching at the Arboretum on Nov. 7, according to a news release.
Craving chicken?
The chicken restaurant offers hand-helds like The O.G., featuring crispy or grilled chicken, coleslaw, bread-n-butter pickles and mayo. Patrons can also order tenders, bites or bone-in chicken. Tumble 22 has a range of heat levels, from painless to stupid hot.
House-made sides include mac-n-cheese, broccoli salad, collard greens, barbecue beans, coleslaw and fries. Customers can dunk their chicken in house-made ranch, hot honey, honey mustard, Maria’s BBQ or comeback sauce. For something sweet, the restaurant offers an assortment of pies, such as key lime, buttermilk, chocolate cream and peanut butter chocolate mousse pie.
The drink menu
Tumble 22 has a full bar with specialty drinks including a paloma, margarita, bloody mary, Moscow mule and adult lemonade.
The background
The Tumble 22 brand started a decade ago, with an Austin-based food trailer that opened in 2016. The brand now has nine locations across Texas, including spots in Pflugerville, Houston, San Marcos, Round Rock and Cedar Park.
The grand opening
On Nov. 7, the first 75 guests to visit Tumble 22 at the Arboretum will receive a free O.G. sandwich once a month for a year, according to the release.
“We’re thrilled to bring Tumble 22 to Northwest Austin and the Arboretum area,” Avid Noble, president of Tumble 22, shared in a news release. “This is a dynamic community that we’ve had our eye on for some time, and we’re excited for the opportunity to become part of it.”
One more thing
Tumble 22 is planning an additional Austin expansion for next year, according to the release. The Austin-native brand will open up a new location on South Lamar in 2027.
