After acquiring The Arboretum earlier this year, Asana Partners has released construction plans for additional retail space and improvements to the 197,105-square-foot shopping center.
The context
Asana Partners, a real estate investment firm, announced the acquisition of The Arboretum on Feb. 4, according to previous Community Impact reporting. The Arboretum features a range of dining, retail and health and wellness tenants. Stores include locally founded businesses like Amy’s Ice Creams and Juliet Italian Kitchen, as well as national franchises such as Barnes & Noble and The Cheesecake Factory.
What’s new
Construction on The Arboretum is slated to start in the spring, beginning with a 14,000-square-foot retail section along the outskirts of the shopping center. The new building is expected to be built out in late 2027, with retailers expected to open by fall 2028.
Other updates to The Arboretum include:
New outdoor dining patios and improved pathways between patios and the main courtyard
New play structures for children
Expanded seating and new signage
Updates to the primary courtyard lighting
Among the planned improvements are changes to the common areas for community-focused programming. Events will start in late 2026, with year-round programming planned for next year.

The retail center is also growing, with new tenants now open and coming soon. Most recently, a new JETSET Pilates location launched on Sept. 11, offering 50-minute full-body workout classes.
Up next is Peachy, a skincare concept opening in spring 2027. The New York-based company offers preventative wrinkle treatments and natural-looking results, according to a news release. The new location will open near Pottery Barn.
