Kesshō Craft Chocolate expands with new Burnet Road location in Austin

Kesshō Craft Chocolate has kicked off the second anniversary of its Asian-inspired “bean-to-bar" chocolate shop in South Austin, with the opening of a second location on Burnet Road in North Austin.

Co-owned by Liang Wang and Mark Huetsch, the small-batch chocolate company blends Asian ingredients into unique Western-style desserts.

The new Kesshō food trailer offers patrons a variety of chocolates, gelato in flavors such as 70% Ugandan dark chocolate, ube and milk tea, and local strawberry, as well as baked goods, including the newly introduced black sesame cookie.

“Every flavor we design has a unique story we can't wait to share,” Wang and Huetsch wrote on the company's website. “... We hope our chocolate serves as a portal to the various cultures behind these ingredients, continues to uplift cacao farmers in African and Central American countries and celebrates the myriad cultures and identities linked to this delightful indulgence.”

In honor of the company's two-year anniversary, both trailers will be offering a buy-one-get-one gelato promotion Sept. 5.
