East Austin Mexican restaurant Juan in a Million celebrated its 45th anniversary in July.
The backstory
Juan in a Million was started by Austin school teachers Juan and Myrna Meza in 1980. The business is still owned and operated by the Meza family 45 years later, General Manager Juan Meza said, who is the son of Juan and Myrna Meza.
On the menu
The restaurant serves Mexican breakfast and lunch food using homemade recipes, including breakfast plates, tacos, enchiladas nachos and quesadillas. Popular menu items include the migas plate, con queso breakfast and Don Juan taco, featuring a warm tortilla with bacon, potatoes, eggs and cheese.
