Buddy Bear
Clothing and gift shop Lilla & Beth expanded its children section into a new space, Buddy Bear. The new business sells child and baby clothing, pajamas, shoes, books, toys, stuffed animals and items for newborns. The store includes a children's play area and bookshelf nook.
New food trailer Good BBQ Company launched its full menu and new hours in June, serving diners barbecue inspired by various parts of the United States, including Texas and Alabama. The veteran-owned business was started by owner and pitmaster Daniel Monplaisir. The business supports Mission Possible Austin.
Bread Boat, a new Georgian restaurant, now serves cheeseboats, also known as Khachapuri. The Georgian dish includes bread with a golden crust, a rich, gooey cheese filling, egg and butter.

Luanne’s Coffee and Matcha
A new mobile coffee spot offering specialty coffee and matcha is now open off East Cesar Chavez Street. The coffee shop is LGBTQ+ and women-owned. Specials include the Honey Cornbread Matcha Latte, Banana Bread Latte and Blue Coconut Matcha Latte.

Twin Isle
A new Caribbean restaurant from local chef Janelle Romeo, behind Shirley's Trini Cuisine, is slated to open off of Rosewood Avenue in September. Menu items are inspired by the flavors of Romeo’s native island, Trinidad and Tobago and the surrounding Caribbean islands.
Chefs Michael Carranza and Danielle Martinez, the team behind Japanese restaurant Tare, will offer sushi at their latest concept, Konbini. The restaurant, behind cocktail bar Papercut, will blend Japanese cuisine with flavors from Texas and Mexico.

The Learning Experience
The Learning Experience is slated to open near the Mueller area, offering education and day care for children from infancy to preschool.
Klerje Coffee recently expanded its space to include more seating. The coffee shop, owned by husband-and-wife duo Justin Lofton and Bethany Logan, first opened in March and officially expanded in August with about 700 extra square footage. The cafe offers coffee, tea, matcha and more. Pastries are available from Diane's Homemade Artisan Goods.
