Better ATX Thrift House, a thrift store just north of Pinthouse Pizza on Burnet Road, has reopened to the public after a brief closure beginning this past June.

The store’s proprietary nonprofit, formerly the Assistance League of Austin, has rebranded as Better ATX—marking its transition from a national chapter to an independent, locally led organization, organization President Linda Ford said.
“This move will ensure that every dollar and every hour of volunteer service remains right here in the Austin community,” Ford said in a social media announcement.
