The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts has hired a new director, Ani Boyajian. Originally from Spring, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and the Pratt Institute in New York and has worked at The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City. The PFMFA, located at 6815 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2018. A solar eclipse will occur Monday and will be visible in the middle of the day in the Houston area. Prospective candidates for board of trustees positions that are open for Spring and Klein ISDs must file with their respective school districts by 5 p.m. Monday to appear on the Nov. 7 ballot.
