1. RapidCare Emergency Room officials celebrated a June 15 opening of their new location in Porter that will also serve the Kingwood area, officials confirmed June 15. In addition to providing urgent and emergency medical care for adult and pediatric patients, the facility will also offer medical care for personal injuries, auto accidents and more.

2. Family First Health Clinic of Splendora is now open, a spokesperson for the business confirmed June 24.The clinic offers primary care services for patients of all ages.

4. Project Mammogram—a nonprofit that provides free breast cancer screenings to uninsured and underinsured patients—is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. In 2001, Project Mammogram was founded by the Northeast Hospital Foundation with $5,000 in starting funds from the Kingwood Women’s Club, as previously reported by Community Impact.
