From a school supply drive to a brewery Pilates class, check out what's happening in New Caney and Porter this weekend, July 24-26. This list is not comprehensive. Events are subject to change.
1. Blood Drive
Give blood and earn a free $25 e-gift card and a free diabetes/A1C screening at this blood drive hosted by Community Resource Credit Union and Gulf Coast Blood. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Donors need to bring an ID. Sign up here.
2. Family Movie Friday This summer, the R.B. Tullis Library will be screening movies from the "Jurassic Park" franchise, including “Jurassic World: Dominion” on July 24.
3. Bar-B-Que Cook-off & Car ShowThe New Caney/Splendora Subcommittee of the Houston Metro Go Texas Committee will host a barbecue cook-off and car show to support the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo’s scholarship program. The event will also include margarita- and bloody mary-making contests as well as live and silent auctions.

4. Back to School Drive ThruThe East Montgomery County Improvement District will distribute 2,500 free school supply packs for students in grades pre-K-8. No pre-registration is required.

5. Brewery PilatesF.L.O.W. Pilates On The Go will be hosting a Pilates class at Back Pew Brewing for adults age 21 and older. Registration for the event includes a token for one free beer. The class is open to participants of all skill levels. Attendees are asked to bring their own yoga mat. Reserve a spot in the class here.
