Alamo Colleges' Northeast Lakeview College, or NLC, New Braunfels campus is getting ready to open soon.
What you need to know
Northeast Lakeview College officials will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on November 18. Prospective students can enroll and register for classes now, which are still being held at the college's current New Braunfels location at 2193 FM 758. Students who enroll for Spring classes will start at the new location in January 2027, Kathleen Labus, NLC's director of marketing & strategic communications, said in an email to Community Impact.
In case you missed it
Alamo Colleges purchased the 58,000-square-foot, pre-existing PNC Bank building at 2049 Sundance Parkway in February 2025 to expand its course offerings and better meet the region's growing educational and workforce demand. The building is being remodeled to feature a number of additional labs for healthcare and workforce training.
Kathleen Labus, NLC's director of marketing & strategic communications, said the project is moving along according to plan.
"It is very exciting to see the progress," Labus said in the email.
Quote of note
Labus said they are grateful for the city, the New Braunfels Chamber and the New Braunfels Economic Development Corp. for supporting them through the process.
“They understood the need for more higher education in the immediate area,” Labus said.
