Comal ISD calls May election for 2 single-member districts

The Comal ISD board of trustees ordered a general election Jan. 23 of trustees in Single Member District 6 and 7 for May 3.

What you need to know

Both school trustee seats have a 3-year term. Since all or portions of single-member districts are situated in Comal, Bexar and Guadalupe Counties, Comal ISD will contract with each to administer the election, according to agenda documents.

Early voting and election day polling locations will be identified once they are identified by the counties, board documents state.

Single Member District 6 and 7 seats are currently held by trustees Amanda Jones and David Krawcyznski who are both running for reelection. Jones and Krawcyznski were elected in May 2022, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.

Dates to know

The last day to register to vote is April 3. Early voting will be from April 22-29, according to the Texas Secretary of State’s website.

Applications for a place on the ballot must be submitted by 5 p.m. Feb. 14.
