Boutique tea business opens in New Braunfels

A mobile retail tea business called The Tea Charmer opened in the New Braunfels community. The business specializes in selling varieties of both iced and hot teas with unique flavors and aromas.

The overview

Alongside its wide selection of teas, the shop also sells accessories including flavored sugar, teapots, cups and infusers. Customers can view and smell the tea in glass jars to make the perfect selection.

Owner Janya Owens said that the shop sells a variety of tea from vendors around the world with a menu that is constantly evolving.

"I just felt like there was no really healthy way that people were coping with all of the different things going on with the pandemic. ... I wanted people to have a healthy option to be able to sit down and have a conversation with people about what's going on or how they're feeling in a way that's not like going out to the bar, but having like meaningful conversations," Owens said.
