McKinney Repertory Theater presents "The Hallelujah Girls" Friday at MPAC
Hilarity abounds when the feisty females of Eden Falls, Georgia, decide to shake up their lives. The action in this rollicking Southern comedy takes place in SPA-DEE-DAH!, the abandoned church-turned-day-spa where this group of friends gathers every Friday afternoon. 8-10 p.m. $13 (children), $15 (students and seniors) $18 (adults). Chili teams stir up some friendly competition at TUPPS Brewery this Saturday
The Historic McKinney Cotton Mill will host the second annual Hot Tech Chili Cook-off benefiting technology startup incubator The WERX in McKinney and the Love Life Foundation. The family-friendly event will include TUPPS’ award-winning beer, an acoustic set by Maylee Thomas and George Fuller in the afternoon, and ‘Gander Slu’ will play in the evening. The event will also showcase technology demonstrations from The WERX entrepreneurs and more.
The event is open to the public at 2:30 p.m.; music begins at 3 p.m.; tasting begins at 5 p.m. Other food options will be available on site from additional vendors and food trucks for those who prefer something other than chili.
