1. Open mic night
The Comedy Arena in downtown McKinney is hosting an open mic night for comedians to test out new material and practice performing. Individuals who want to perform can sign up at The Comedy Arena’s website.
2. Guided public art tour
Jump Into Art Studios and Visit McKinney are partnering to host a walking tour of art pieces on the square. The tour starts at the McKinney Visitors Center and will take participants past murals, sculptures and more.
3. Brewery Tour
Take a tour of Tupps Brewery with owner and founder Keith Lewis. Explore the grain room and sample beer made in McKinney. Tickets include the tour and one beer.
4. Health and Service Fair
The Senior Recreation Center is hosting a Health and Service Fair where individuals can learn about local health care and insurance providers, home care services, senior living communities and more.
5. Kids painting class
Jump Into Art Studios is hosting a kids painting class where attendees can paint their pet. No experience is needed and all materials will be provided. Attendees should bring a photo of their pet.
6. Mexican Independence Day celebration
Tupps Brewery is hosting a Mexican Independence Day celebration with live music, traditional dance performances, food and more.
7. Millhouse Makers Market
Millhouse is partnering with the McKinney Cotton Mill to host a Makers Market. Local artisans will offer a variety of jewelry, candles, artwork and more.
8. Forever Hendrix concert
Listen to music from Forever Hendrix, a Jimi Hendrix tribute band, at Hub 121. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at nearby restaurants. Guests should bring chairs and blankets.

9. Turnpike Tributedours concert

10. Live Music at Zin Zen Wine Bistro

McKinney’s annual Oktoberfest is a weekend-long event that includes live music, cultural performances, games, food and drinks.
12. Jurassic Night Out
The Heard Natural Science Museum is hosting an adults-only outdoor watch party of “Jurassic Park.” Vendors will be selling food and drinks.
