McKinney ISD families are being asked to review the district’s policies for the upcoming school year and decide whether students will be returning to classes in person or attending school online.
Families have until July 17 to inform the district of their choice. Parents who would like to change their decision can do so up until July 30. After this date, the district is asking families to commit to their decision for at least the first nine weeks of school.
Teachers will return to the classroom and engage students both in person and at the designated time online for each period. Students who are attending virtually may be asked to work independently or in groups but are expected to stay logged on for the duration of the period.
The district highly recommends students returning to in-person classrooms this fall wear masks and could require it in accordance with state mandates, MISD announced in its instructional plan for the fall.
