Page 3 Eatery owner Anshul Singhal said he wanted to bring authentic north Indian cuisine to the Dallas area, but didn’t want to be “boxed into a notion of Indian food being curries and spice.”
Singhal came up with a menu that features sandwiches and wraps filled with the flavors of Indian cuisine when he opened Page 3 Eatery last October.
“We have created that unique proposition for a consumer to go out and try something out of the box,” he said. “It's not traditional.”
A closer look
People who grew up in India in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s will remember that newspapers included stories about celebrity gossip and scandals on Page 3, Singhal said.
“That was our take on this restaurant: we would call it Page 3 because food would be our hero, and the celebrities would be our guests,” he said.
This also creates an opportunity for connection when parents bring their children to eat at the restaurant and they ask about what Page 3 means, Singhal said.
“It breaks the generation gap between the parents talking about their childhood, and it brings a smile to their face,” he said.

On the menu
Page 3 Eatery’s menu includes items such as:
Spicy Headline Aloo Sandwich: A grilled sandwich stuffed with spiced aloo, chutneys and topped with fresh veggies
Breaking News Keema Kulcha: A flatbread stuffed with minced goat meat and spices
Press Pass Murg Tikka Sandwich: A grilled chicken tikka sandwich with cheese
Red Carpet Murg Tikka Frankie: A wrap with chicken tikka, sautéed onions and tangy chutney, wrapped in paratha

“We cook everything from scratch, which every restaurant claims, but we stand behind it,” Singhal said.
In addition to a full bar, Page 3 Eatery offers mocktails. Alcohol sales have decreased nationwide and Singhal wanted to have options for individuals who don’t drink, he said.
“We sell more mocktails than alcohol in this location,” Singhal said.
Quote of note
“We have kept that in mind that it's not about dishing out the food; it's about making that family time,” Singhal said. “We have been successful in catering to [the] family for a family dinner and creating those memories where everybody can eat from the same menu.”
