A new cafe and coffee roastery concept from McKinney-based Lelo’s Coffee Co. will occupy a space on Tupps Brewery’s new east McKinney site, co-owner Sandy Davis said.
Lelo’s Coffee Co., an online coffee company owned by husband and wife Sandy Davis and Derek Davis, will expand its online business with the brick-and-mortar cafe. The new concept will include an indoor cafe along with a walk-up ordering window inside a silo and will serve fresh coffee roasted on-site, Derek Davis said.
“It's showing people, you know, they don't really understand how they get their coffee; they can look into the silo and just see what was going on, like the behind-the-curtain type of thing, so they kind of understand where the coffee comes from,” he said.
The cafe will offer a variety of coffee drinks along with tea and a selection of food items. The Davises also plan to host educational cupping courses where visitors can learn more about coffee roasting and try different varieties of coffee, Derek Davis said.
