Corporate campus developer KDC announced Sept. 2 that it has completed a corporate office in McKinney for SRS Distribution, a wholesale roofing supply company. Employees are now able to occupy the 100,000-square-foot building and will soon relocate from their current headquarters at 5900 S. Lake Forest Drive, Ste. 400, McKinney, according to a KDC news release.
The four-story building sits on 4.2 acres of land in the Hub 121 mixed-use development at the northwest corner of SH 121 and Alma Road, according to KDC news release. In addition to SRS Distribution, KDC recently completed Independent Financial's new corporate headquarters in McKinney.
“This project has been a great team effort with the City of McKinney, Gensler, Adolfson & Peterson, and of course SRS Distribution to turn their dreams into reality with a new campus in McKinney,” KDC Vice President Peter Yates said in the release. “The new building will be a fantastic working environment for employees, and positions SRS Distribution for continued growth and success. This project, alongside the Independent Financial HQ, sets the pace for other companies to join the growing area at Hub 121 and Craig Ranch.”
SRS Distribution will add about 150 jobs over the next decade, thus bringing a total of 300 jobs to McKinney, according to the release. Adding the new jobs was a condition of the economic incentives offered to SRS Distribution by the city and McKinney Economic Development Corp., which are outlined in further detail here. The company's new corporate campus includes indoor and outdoor amenities and conference and meeting space in a facility that overlooks the Hub 121 development, per the release.
