Early voting for McKinney ISD’s $220 million, single-proposition bond package began Monday and extends through Tuesday, May 3. Election day is Saturday, May 7. The proposed bond package will allow for a decrease in the tax rate by 4.5 cents. The district previously estimated a 2 cent decrease. The 4.5 cent decrease equates to a property tax decrease of approximately $121 a year for an average residential home in MISD valued at $271,150.
