Locally owned Cafe Taraiz closed in Pearland in June when the previous owner, Taraiz Karafa, retired. The restaurant will re-open under the same name, ideally in August, said new owner Claire Baffir. Located at 9415 Broadway St., Ste. 117, Pearland, the restaurant will still serve Mediterranean food but with different recipes.
