Officials with Exclusive Furniture have confirmed the planned closure of a store located at 17390 Hwy. 290, near the Jones Road intersection, that will be timed with the opening of a new Cypress location this fall.

Exclusive Furniture President Sam Zavary said the Jones Road location is expected to close on Oct. 30, shortly after the planned opening of a 52,000-square-foot Cypress location—slated for Sept. 26 or 27—at 25330 Hwy. 290, near Skinner Road. Zavary said the decision to close the Jones Road location and open the new one was based on market research and changing demographics.

A closing sale is being planned for the Jones Road location for Sept. 12, but the details of the sale are still being finalized, Zavary said. A grand opening celebration for the Cypress location will take place some time after Thanksgiving, he said.

Another 50,000-square-foot Exclusive Furniture will open toward the end of November at I-45 South and NASA Road 1 in Webster, Zavary said.
