Morriss Road improvements
To allow for panel replacement work, portions of Morriss Road were reduced to one lane May 15. The lane reductions begin on the northbound lanes north of Tournament Drive and follow the panel replacements as they progress. Work on the 20-inch water line replacement from Forest Vista Drive to Garden Road was scheduled to begin May 28. The project includes concrete panel replacements from FM 3040 to Firewheel, Americans with Disabilities Act improvements from FM 3040 to Firewheel as well as 20- and 24-inch water line replacements from Forest Vista to Garden. Additional work includes FM 3040 and Morriss intersection improvements and a southbound left-turn lane extension at Morriss and Forest Vista.

Main Street reconstruction
The contractor is still working on curbs, sidewalks, driveways and crosswalks along the south side of Main Street east of Mill Street in Lewisville as well as installing electrical conduit for lighting. This will continue for the next 4-6 weeks. Once the south side of the street is substantially complete, the contractor will begin working on the north side of Main. The project is still on track to have Main substantially complete by September. The contractor will not work on Mill until Main is substantially complete. The project includes adding on-street parking; bicycle lanes; wider sidewalks, traffic signal modifications, and amenities such as benches and recycle bins on Main and Mill.
