The Flower Mound Community Activity Center will delay the outdoor water park opening due to a lifeguard shortage.
The outdoor water park will open May 28, and hours for the park will be changed until further notice, according to a Flower Mound news release.
The water park will be open Monday and Wednesday 3-8 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday noon-5 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-6:45 p.m.; and Sunday 1-5:45 p.m.
The lifeguard shortage is not unique to Flower Mound but can also be seen throughout the metroplex including in Richardson and Plano.
