Houston-based jewelry retailer Charming Charlie voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Dec. 11 and has plans to close approximately 97 under-performing stores. The Highland Village, Plano and Lewisville locations were not among the list of stores slated for closure. Founded in 2004, the retailer sells jewelry, handbags, apparel and beauty products organized into color-coordinated store displays.
