At the May 21 Town Council meeting, 94 acres of land was rezoned from agriculture to planned development to allow for a development called Pepper Creek Ranch. The development, which is owned by Dr. Greg Anderson, will be located along FM 1171 and west of Montalcino Boulevard. It will feature 50 residential lots. Randi Rivera, of G&A consultants, represented Anderson at the meeting and said Anderson plans to move a total of 26 family members from the California and Utah area to the development. Pepper Creek will contain an amenity center, a public multi-use trail along FM 1171 and an equestrian trail.
