At the Sept. 25 Highland Village City Council meeting, members held a public hearing and approved the first reading of an ordinance for a video arcade. The video arcade, if approved, would be located in Highland Plaza Shopping Center, which is located at the northeast corner of Sellmeyer Lane and Justin Road. The property is located within a retail district, which requires the approval of a conditional use permit to allow a video arcade. The second and final read for the retro arcade is to be held Oct. 9.
